We love any excuse for breakfast in bed so when we heard about National French Toast day, we couldn’t help but think of some delicious holiday recipes. The one we want to share with you today is this tasty Eggnog French Toast.
This recipe is sure to please a holiday crowd and even passes the test of those scrooges who despise eggnog! The flavors combine so well to make this a festive spin on a favorite breakfast food and is sure to get you some rave reviews. Holiday Eggnog French Toast
- 12 Slices of French Bread
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Cup Egg Nog
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- ½ tsp Nutmeg
- Butter or Oil of Choice
Whisk together two eggs & the eggnog. Add the cinnamon & nutmeg and mix to combine.
Heat skillet on medium-high heat and add butter or oil to coat the pan.Dip bread slices in the egg mixture and cover completely on both sides. Place in pan and cook until golden before flipping to the other side. As pan continues to heat, adjust to a medium temperature for cooking.
Serve with syrup if desired.
